OFFENSE
Ardmore enters the 2025 season with high hopes and a young but battle-tested core. Head coach Josh Newby and his staff are energized by a group of players who were thrown into varsity action early, with six current starters gaining valuable experience as freshmen. That early exposure is beginning to pay off as the Tigers aim to take the next step forward in Class 5A. Quarterback K’Drien Miller (5-10, 180, Jr.) returns as a versatile leader under center, supported by a talented backfield duo in Tyson Laster (5-11, 175, Jr.) and Jamane Stubblefield (6-1, 175, So.). Laster, who started as a freshman, is praised for his elite ball skills and maturity beyond his years, while Stubblefield flashed tremendous potential last year and is primed for a breakout season. On the outside, Daemon Cohee (5-9, 165, Jr.) brings big-play ability at wide receiver, and he’ll benefit from a strong connection with Miller. The offensive line features size and strength, anchored by Jacoby Jefferson (6-5, 315, Jr.) and Benson Le (5-11, 265, Sr.). Le, a relative newcomer to football, has blossomed into one of the Tigers’ most dependable players thanks to mentorship and development under Ardmore’s coaching staff. The chemistry of this group, built over a strong offseason, has coaches optimistic about their ability to produce points consistently.
DEFENSE
The Tigers’ defense mirrors the offense—young, aggressive, and filled with athletes who now have varsity experience. Leading the way is linebacker Matt Felder (5-10, 175, Jr.), one of the team’s most respected players both on and off the field. Known for his consistency and character, Felder sets the tone for a unit that prides itself on effort and physicality. Tyson Laster doubles as a standout cornerback, using his natural instincts to lock down opposing receivers. The secondary is rounded out by playmakers like Kaziah Andrews (6-0, 175, Jr.) and Marcus Addison (5-10, 165, Jr.), while up front, defensive end Aiden Roberson (5-11, 195, Jr.) and nose guard Killian Bridges (5-10, 245, Jr.) bring toughness to the trenches. With a solid offseason behind them and a core that has grown through shared experience, Ardmore looks ready to turn promise into production. If their young talent continues to develop, expect the Tigers to be a serious contender this fall.
