VYPE: What year are you, what sport(s) do you play and are you involved with any other activities?

Destinee McGee: I’m the class of 2025, I play basketball and run track, I am not involved in any other activities at the moment.

VYPE: What are your goals for this spring?

DM: My goals for this spring are to continue to work on my skills and get ready for my senior season.

VYPE: Do you have any secret hobbies or hidden talents?

DM: A hidden talent that I have is singing and dancing.

VYPE: Who’s your favorite athlete?

DM: My favorite athlete is Kevin Durant.

VYPE: Who’s your favorite musical artist or band?

DM: My favorite music artists are Lil Baby and Rod Wave.

VYPE: What’s one thing everybody should know about you but most don’t?

DM: I am very kind and sweet.

VYPE: What does it mean to be an Ardmore Tiger?

DM: It is very special to be an Ardmore Tiger because the community is great and everyone loves me and encourages me to do what I love.

VYPE: What’s your favorite color?

DM: My favorite color is baby blue.

VYPE: What’s your dream vacation?

DM: My dream vacation is to go to the Bahamas.

VYPE: What’s the greatest lesson you’ve learned through playing sports?

DM: To never give up and always try your best even when you’re at your lowest.

VYPE: When have you been the most challenged as a student-athlete?

DM: The most challenging time for me as a student-athlete is having to catch up on work when I’m going for games.

VYPE: How did you persevere through that time?

DM: I stayed in class late and I focused more on my school work so that I could get caught up.

VYPE: What are your future plans and goals?

DM: My future plans are to graduate high school, go play Division I basketball and eventually make it to the WNBA.
