Coach: Kyle Jessie
20-21 Record: 12-9
The Ardmore Tigers have plenty to look forward to this season, including the return of DD Coleman (6-0, Sr.) at guard. Coleman averaged 18 points and 4.0 assists last season. “Last year’s Class 5A semifinalist team returns a cast of characters,” said head coach Kyle Jessie. “We are a team that prides ourselves on our ability to play at a face pace all game and our three-point shooting.” Coleman is joined in the backcourt by Dion Brown (5-9, Sr.) who is one of the sharpshooters coach Jessie referred to. Brown averaged 12 points a game and had multiple outings with five or more three-pointers made. Jordyn Brown (5-10, Jr.) is a playmaker who came on strong during the post season. Brown exploded for 33 points to help his team advance to the state tournament last year. Dakaree Scott (5-11, Sr.) is a dynamic player who wreaks havoc on the defensive end. Scott is a multi-sport athlete with offers on the table in football. Jason Dodson (6-1, So.) played as a freshman and has fought through an injury to come back bigger and better than last season. Shedric Jones (6-3, Jr.) is a strong inside presence for the Tigers. Jones came out of his shell during the tournament last season and coach Jessie is excited to see him continue to grow and develop into the type of player he has the potential to become. Also look for Kylan Cohee to bring the energy for the Tigers.
