Jazmyn Sherylann Ragle is a senior at Ardmore High School and is a member of multiple school clubs such as FCCLA, Leaflets, the Academic team and is CPR certified. She is interested in the study of psychology and looks forward to learning more about it. Unfortunately, her feelings towards Chemistry are not the same, as she feels it is the “bane of her existence.” When she is not in school, you might find her at her part time job at TJ Maxx or hanging out with her friends. If she didn’t need the money and had to work, Jazmyn would like to be a commission artist making art for others. Her proceeds would be donated to different organizations that needed the extra help.
Paige Henry is the Academic team advisor at Ardmore and says Jazymn is a great asset to the team.
“She (Jazmyn) never backs down from a challenge and is always willing to work hard to achieve her goals. I can always count on her to help out and she is a great team player,” said Jazmyn.
Although she doesn’t play any sports, Jazmyn said she could see herself as the school mascot but not without a few tips from her mother, a former mascot herself. One of her greatest role models is Patrick Swayze and she would spend a day learning more about what he did to make him the success he is.
Jazmyn offers this advice to the underclassmen at Ardmore.
“Start everything sooner and not on time or later. Apply for scholarships and grants right now, do not wait till you are a junior or senior. It’s now or never when you’re young,” said Jazmyn.
After graduation Jazmyn plans to attend Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. After receiving her associates, her plans are to transfer to a four-year university and later get her masters. She is interested in the fields of Psychiatry or maybe even Forensic Psychiatry. Jazmyn is a person who loves to express herself in many outlets, she is a dreamer and says anything is possible when you’re dreaming.
